Bengaluru: Prakash Raj will be filing his nomination today as an independent candidate from Bengaluru central Lok Sabha constituency.

Progressive thinkers and writers of the state are expected to join the actor while filing nomination.

He will be taking a procession from Austin town, Shantinagara to Hudson Circle with his friends, supporters and fans. Later, he will be filing his nomination in the BBMP main office.

Prakash Raj had expected support from the Congress party for his candidature, but KPCC Chief Dinesh Gundu Rao had personally conveyed the party’s inability to support him unless he joins the Congress.

Now Prakash Raj will have to fight the election on his own calibre.

At present the Bangalore Central constituency is with the BJP. Present BJP MP PC Mohan has won twice from this constituency and is hoping for a hat-trick this election.

Prakash Raj has already started his campaign and is requesting the people to think before they vote. Reports say that he is getting good response.

Prakash Raj is a staunch critic of the BJP through his program ‘Just Asking’.

He had revealed his desire to contest in Lok Sabha polls from Bengaluru Central to his friends during the new year.

He is requesting people to give him an opportunity to be their voice in the Lok Sabha.
