Bengaluru: Even though Covid 19 is spreading like a wildfire, the people above the age of 45 years are still reluctant to take the jab. It was evident on day one of the Lasika Utsav.
The state health department had set a target of vaccinating 5,00,050 persons on Sunday, April 11. But only 1,19,829 (24%) people turned up for the vaccination.
Davanagere achieved just 8% of the target followed by Raichur (8%) and Chamarajanagar (9%).
The highest percentage of achievement was recorded at Mysuru where 76% of the target was met on day 1.
