Bengaluru: In order to make the police system more public-friendly to access help easily, the police department has designed the “Karnataka State Police” App. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy released the app during a meeting held at the Director General of Police’s office here on June 23.
Speaking after the launch, the CM said, “With this app, the police system is nearer to the public. Police and people should make use of the app. This app will be useful in controlling the crimes. It will allow a person to seek police help any time, and from any place.”
“During my tenure, there should not be any communal clashes. If anyone tries to stir unrest in the society, stringent action would be taken against them. No one can indulge in unlawful activities. If the provocative attitude continues, they may have to face legal action,” he warned.
Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said, “Karnataka occupies the tenth place in the number of reported crimes. Work consciously to decrease the number of crimes. Steps will be taken to fill 14,000 vacant constable posts. Under police housing project, the construction of 11,000 houses will be finished by 2020.”
“In the state, crime is under control because of the sub-beat system. The union government has ordered to implement the same model in other states also. This is our pride”, he added.
