Bengaluru: A police constable attached to the Jayanagar police station has been suspended pending inquiry for replying in an arrogant manner to the reminder issued by the inspector.
According to the sources, Jayanagar inspector had issued a reminder to a constable by name Shridhara Gowda for reporting to beat duty late. In his reply, he stated that if I had my room above the police station like you and having breakfast, lunch, dinner and ice cream outside, I can report to the duty at 8 am instead of 8.30 am. ” I have parents to look after, children to take care of and wife working in the police department. So, I am late,” he replied to the reminder.
Upset by the alleged arrogance in the language used in the reply, now DCM South K Annamalai suspended him from the duty.
