Mysuru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, on Thursday, August 29, informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be paying a visit to the state on September 7 to take stock of the flood situation.
He was addressing the media after arriving at the Lalith Mahal helipad in Mysuru.
Speaking about the recent floods, BSY said that the state had suffered a severe disaster and that they are awaiting more funds from the Central Government. He added that the additional funds are expected to arrive in another two or three days’ time.
While in Mysuru, the CM visited the Chamundeshwari temple.
He later visited the Kodagu district and offered Bagina to the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) dam in Srirangapayna. He is slated to interact with the people who have been affected by the recent floods.
