PM Modi to pay last respects to Shivakumara Swamiji tomorrow

Bengaluru: As the news of Siddganga Matt Pontiff Shivakumara Swamiji’s demise was out, several personalities from the field of politics, film and other walks of life reached the matt and paid their last respects, here on Monday, January 21.

Tomorrow i.e., on Tuesday, January 22 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be offering his obeisance.

At 9 AM, he is expected to reach the Bengaluru airport in a special flight from Delhi. He will be heading towards Tumkur in a helicopter. He will be landing in one of the 16 helipads temporarily created for VIPs and VVIPs. Later, he will be making his way towards the Siddganga Matt Museum grounds, where the mortal remains are kept in a specially-crafted glass box in a sitting position.

Meanwhile, State President of Bharatiya Janata Party B S Yeddyurappa said that his final rites will be performed at 5 PM in the matt premises with all national and state honours.
