Bengaluru: Additional Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil submitted an interim report on the phone tapping row to DG-IGP Neelamani Raju. If sources are to be believed, a senior IPS officer and three inspectors are blamed for the tapping.
City police commissioner Bhaskara Rao confirmed that the confidential interim report has been submitted to the DG-IGP.
Meanwhile, the state government is likely to hand over the issue to the CID investigation as it has caused major embarrassment to the CMO.
The incident of the recording of the conversation of several senior officers has shocked the state.
