Over 900 Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha staff to get notice for tardiness

Bengaluru: One of the most common complaints against government employees is that they arrive at the office late and leave early. The state government has introduced a biometric attendance system, both in Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha, to ensure that staff stay in office during their working hours. Currently, the working hours fixed for government employees is from 10 AM to 5.30 PM.

So far, the DPAR did not take strict action against employees who were flouting the government norms. But in a first-of-its-kind crackdown, the DPAR has decided to issue notices to over 900 employees of the Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha for their tardiness.

According to sources, these employees face the fear of losing the salary for the miss flash days. “The miss flash data has been sent to the heads of 31 departments. These notices are issued after taking 115 working days between January 1 and May 31 into consideration,” explained an officer from the DPAR.
