Bengaluru: The Out-Patient Services are expected to be disrupted across the state today with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) calling for a partial bundh in protest against an increasing number of attacks on doctors across the country and in solidarity with the Bengal doctors.
According to the state health department authorities, the IMA communicated its decision to the state government. “Both in the government and private hospitals, the OPD services will be disrupted. There won’t be an impact on emergency services,” informed authorities.
The doctors called for a state-wide OPD shut down in protest against the increasing attacks on doctors across the country. They are demanding central legislation to handle such cases with an iron hand.
