Bengaluru: The core areas of the city including Malleshwaram, Rajajinagar, Sadashivanagar, Kasturba Road, Jayanagar, MG Road, residency road, Brigade road and surrounding areas are expected to face water crisis on Tuesday and Wednesday with the BWSSB announcing no water supply for 18 hours.
According to the BWSSB sources, there will be no water supply to the core areas between Tuesday 10 PM and Wednesday at 4 PM. “This means, these areas are expected to receive water only during the wee hours of Thursday,” explained a senior officer.
According to the authorities, the BWSSB is taking up the electrification works and the machine replacement exercise in various pumping stations of the city simultaneously. “For this purpose, it has been decided to stop the water pumping, resulting in a disruption in the water supply,” informed authorities.
No fear of water crisis: According to the authorities, this year there is no possibility of water crisis to the city. “The KRS water level has good storage. So there is no fear of crisis this year,” he concluded.
