Bengaluru: Water connection to a Yoga center has been cut off allegedly by JDS MLA R Manjunath because Yoga Guru Umamaheshwar Guruji, who runs the centre had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to TV9, Dasarahalli JDS MLA R Manjunath and JD(S) leader Hanumantharaju cut off the water supply to Umamaheshwar Guruji’s ashram after the latter praised Prime Minister Modi for putting Yoga in the global platform and also declaring to International Yoga Day. The admiration reportedly irked the two JDS leaders.
The yoga center is functioning for the last 18 years and Yoga guru Umamaheshwar Guru, speaking to a local media said that the center uses 500 liters of water every day and ever since he admired the PM the JDS leaders are targeting him.
However, JDS leader Hanumantharaju rejected all these allegations and said that the Yoga Guru has been criticising former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.
