Bengaluru: The discussion over the trust vote in the state Legislative Assembly continues with the coalition government looking to adjourn the session to Monday.
Congress MLA H K Patil requested the Speaker to provide security to the rebel MLAs.
Reacting to this, Karnataka Speaker Ramesh Kumar said that he had not received any request for security. “Till now, no MLA has written to me seeking security. I cannot give security in that case. I am not aware if they have written to the government, but I cannot tie them up and bring them here. It is unfortunate if they have said that they are not coming here because of security issues,” he said and requested that the issue not be raised again as he has already given his ruling.
“If you are making these statements to hide your wrongdoings, I will not be party to it,” he added.
