Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karajol has ordered Kalaburgi and Bagalkote district administrations to deny permission for wedding events in the district, keeping the COVID situation in mind.
However, he said that registered marriages at the Sub Registrar’s office will only be allowed.
The state is doing all possible attempts to curb the spread of the pandemic, but it has not been yielding resuts as the cases of Corona are only spiking.
With reports that marriage ceremonies are being held in these two districts, allowing large number of people to come under a single roof, the DCM ordered that permission cannot be given for wedding celebrations.
