Bengaluru: In a major relief to the people of the state, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa made it clear that there will be no lockdown on Sunday, May 31.

Earlier, a section of the media had speculated that there would be a total lockdown on Sunday, similar to last week. Now, the CM has denied any such plans.

“There will not be any lockdown on Sunday. All the existing services will be continued on Sunday. The people need not panic,” he said.

The CM also informed that during Lockdown 5.0, a number of new relaxations will be provided for the public.

Following the CM’s statement, the KSRTC decided to operate all buses on Sunday. The BMTC will also operate its fleet on May 31.
