Bengaluru: Ruling out leadership change, Karnataka BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel on Friday, May 28 asserted that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is a “unanimous leader” and will complete the term.
Karnataka BJP chief said, “There has been no change; Yediyurappa continues to be our undisputed leader. The centre has already stated that there will be no change, that there will be no such discussion…. it is not a topic of discussion within the party.”
Speaking to the media persons here he said that talk about a leadership change has been rife since the 78-year-old Lingayat strongman took charge of his office as CM, and that “Yediyurappa has finished two years and will complete the remaining term as well.”
He claimed that all legislators had been told to concentrate solely on COVID management and nothing else.
