Bengaluru: Senior most Congress leader Mallikharjun Kharge, who was defeated from Kalaburugi Lok Sabha constituency in the recently concluded Lok Sabha election had a surprise visitor on Tuesday. It was none other than Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of CM HD Kumaraswamy who lost from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency.
Nikhil met Kharge and discussed about his political future. He sought Kharge’s blessings besides discussing strategies to be followed in the future. Kharge and his son, state social welfare minister Priyanka Kharge shared their electoral experience with Nikhil.
After the meet, Nikhil wrote an emotional post on his social media pages. He stated that Mallikharjun Kharge blessed him and motivated him with a pep talk on politics.
He also wrote that Priyanka Kharge asked him to move foward and not to cling on to the experience of loss in the Lok Sabha election. He thanked both father and son for their love and affection.
