Bengaluru: The union government appointed M V Padma Srivastava as the new director of the apex centre for mental health and neuroscience education in the country, The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS).
She is succeeding Dr B N Gangadhar who retired three months ago.
M V Padma Srivastava is a Padma Shri recipient and was a professor at the Head Dept. of Neurology in the Chief Neurosciences Centre at AIIMS.
Dr Padma Srivastava’s primary area of interest lies in stroke, vascular dementia, and multiple sclerosis besides actively participating in the Epilepsy Program at AIIMS.
