Nation-wide strike: Poor response for bundh across the Karnataka

Bengaluru: Even though various labour union members had called for a nation-wide bandh on Wednesday, it hardly bagged any response across the state.

Miscreants had pelted stones at over 14 buses including 12 BMTC buses. But even after these incidents, the bundh was not total. Except for the BMTC bus service, all other services are on in the capital city.

According to the police sources, no untoward incidents have been reported from any part of the state, except stone pelting on the KSRTC and BMTC buses in Bengaluru. “All the services including auto, cabs, metro, train services
are on. Schools and colleges are open across the state. The bandh has a very little impact on the normal life,” informed a senior officer.

Meanwhile, KSRTC services are expected to be resumed at 3 pm.
