Bengaluru: Commissioner for Survey, Settlement and Land Records Munish Moudgil, who was transferred to the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) in Mysuru on Wednesday alleged that the then DC of Bengaluru Urban V Shankar allegedly caused a loss of over Rs.400 crores to the state government by helping a person to get the ownership of 17 acres of land in Jigani of Anekal. He has lodged a case with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
In his letter, Moudgil who is known as an upright officer named two KAS officers working under V Shankar in the scam. He has written a letter to the state government in this regard.
According to the sources, this land in question is in Bukkasagara village near Jigani. It has been alleged that the land was transferred to a private person even though it belongs to the government.
Meanwhile, V Shankar rejected the allegations and stated that order has been issued based on the records. “It is a baseless allegation,” he stated.
