Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old woman is believed to have killed her minor daughters and then hanged herself in her house at Nellorepuram in HAL police limits on Wednesday.

The police have identified the woman as Mahalakshmi who was employed as a housekeeping staff at the National Aerospace Laboratories. Her husband is a mason.

According to the police, Mahalakshmi was battling depression following a property dispute within the family. Her daughters, Mamatha (10) and Deepti (8), were enrolled in Sacred Heart High School in Jeevanbhima Nagar.

The incident came to light when her husband returned from work around 6.30 p.m.
