Bengaluru: A woman allegedly killed her six-year-old and 10-month-old daughters before hanging herself at Murphy Town in Halasuru police limits on Thursday night. According to the police, the incident came to light on Friday morning when the woman’s husband returned home after a night shift.
The police have identified the deceased as Renuka, 34, Nishchita, 6, and Pavani.
According to the police, Renuka left a note saying no one is responsible for her death and ‘they’ are leaving of their own volition. She requested family members to cremate them in her native place in Chitradurga for which money is available in her bank account.
Renuka got married to Hemanth eight years ago. She was a lab technician in a private hospital in Indiranagar.
Hemanth is an executive at a leading call centre of a multinational at Bellandur. The family lived with Hemanth’s parents at Murphy Town.
According to the police, Hemanth returned home from work on Friday morning.
He tried to contact his wife Renuka, who he assumed was sleeping in the bedroom but in vain. When he broke open the door, he found his wife and their children hanging from the ceiling fan. The Halasuru police have registered a case of murder and unnatural death.
