Bengaluru: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat said that no matter how evolved human beings are, they should never forget their past.
Addressing a gathering at the inaugural programme of the newly built Janaseva Vidyakendra on Sunday, March 8 he said, “Humans should not forget their beginning and the long journey towards civilisation.
“We, humans, have a tendency of craving for more, while birds and animals are satisfied with what nature has to offer. The best example for this is our modern lifestyle. We want conditioners even when there is fresh air outside. While humans crave for more comforts in their life, nature shows that without comforts too, life can be lead,” he said.
“Only when comforts and goals in life go hand-in-hand, a quality life can be achieved. For this, education should be a part of our tradition. When the best education and our efforts come together, the best results can be achieved. This will also keep us happy for a long time”, he added.
Meanwhile, he also said that an individual who can sacrifice materialistic needs can lead a very happy life.
