Bengaluru: MLA Anita Kumaraswamy has been provided with ‘Z’ security by the state police on the basis of the inputs shared by the state intelligence department. Anita Kumaraswamy, is the wife of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.
A decision in this regard was taken following the intelligence report that difference of opinion in JDS Ramanagara unit is exploding.”Recently there was violence inside the JDS district office and hence, the police did not want to take any chances,” said sources.
So far only the Chief Minister and the Governor are provided with ‘Z’ security cover in Karnataka.
In the recently held bypolls, Anita Kumaraswamy won Ramanagara constituency with highest number of votes ever and went on to become the first woman MLA to represent the constituency.
