Bengaluru: In a freak accident a Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) van, stationed at Akshayanagar near Yeshwantpur for election purpose ran over a two-and-half-year-old boy thus killing him on Tuesday evening.
The victim identified as V Giriprakash was reportedly accompanying his father Vetrivel, a daily wage worker by profession to the market. It was when Vetrivel was purchasing the groceries that the boy ran into the street suddenly and got hit by the KSRP vehicle.
As per the police, there were no visible injuries on the boy’s body and an autopsy report will ascertain the cause of death.
