Bengaluru: The weather forecasts have hinted at possible rains coupled with thunderbolts in south interior and coastal Karnataka.
Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Hasan, Kodagu, Shivamogga and coastal district of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi may witness rainfall and thunderbolts on Tuesday, December 3. Yellow Alert has been issued in all of these districts on Tuesday. The Northern parts of the state will receive lesser rainfall with intensified lightning and thunder.
The Met Department has also cautioned possibilities of crop loss due to the rainfall and suggested farmers postpone their harvest activities by a few days.
The weather in the coastal district remained cloudy with drizzles on Monday. The weather seems to continue the same way even on Tuesday.
The Depression over Southwest Arabian Sea and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean moved northwestwards and it intensified into a Deep Depression over the southwest Arabian Sea and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours.
