Bengaluru: The Bamboo Bazaar area in central Bengaluru, witnessed a massive fire early on Thursday morning. As many as 13 stores were completely gutted in the flames and 12 were damaged.
The incident occurred in the Bhartinagar Police Station limits. No fatalities or injuries have been reported.
As many as 17 firefighters have been deployed at the scene and even in the afternoon, they continued to struggle to put the flames out completely.
Since the fire broke out in a open area, the cause of the incident will be probed by the police. The fire department will submit their report to the police for their investigation, once the fire is completely extinguished.
City Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, who visited the spot, said that the loss of property is yet to be estimated, however, thankfully, there is no loss of life.
Meanwhile, the Bhartinagar Police ensured that people did not gather at the scene, as it would be a violation of the lockdown rules.
