Bengaluru: In a major boost to Sumalatha Ambareesh who is planning to contest from the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency, the Raitha Sangha, which has its branches across the district announced its support to her.
Darshan Puttannaiah, son for farmers leader late KS Puttannaiah announced the Sangha’s decision in this regard. It can be recalled that Darshan had contested from the Melukote constituency as an independent candidate.
“I will carry out an extensive campaign for Sumalatha in the election,” informed Darshan.
Meanwhile, Sumalatha’s son Abhishek continued his travel across the constituency. At Nagamangala on Wednesday he delivered the dialogues of Naagarahavu movie of his late father amid sloganeering supporters.
