Bengaluru: With the idea of ensuring that police personnel celebrate their birthdays with their family members, all the police in the city will get a holiday on their respective birthdays henceforth. Along with it, they will get a greeting card from the police commissioner.
A decision in this regard has been taken by city Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao. He has already sent an order in this regard.
As per the directive issued by the commissioner, police personnel of all ranks (irrespective of duty) will get a holiday on their birthdays every year. The senior-most police officer at the station will deliver the birthday greeting card.
“We want to ensure that police personnel are not stressed by their duties. So, this decision has been taken,” informed Rao.
