Bengaluru: In this election season, there is no end to the controversial statements. After former MLA from Sagara BK Gopalakrishna Beluru’s controversial remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi that went viral Madikeri MLA Appachchu Ranjan has issued a controversial statement against Gopalakrishna.
Speaking at Madikeri, Appachchu Ranjan stated that if Beluru had made such a speech in Kodagu district then his tongues would have been slit.
“We should slit the tongues of those who make derogatory statements like Beluru,” he stated.
Appachchu Ranjan’s statement is expected to create a new controversy in the state with Congress leaders stating that they will approach the police against the statement.
