Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil is filing his nomination today (March 25) to contest from Mandya constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and he already has a supporter in a young girl.

The 11-year-old child came all the way from Bengaluru to Mandya dressed in green saree and holding a bundle of green grass.

Reportedly, Kumaraswamy had come to her financial aid back in 2016 when the little one, S Monica, had undergone a bone marrow transplantation as she was suffering from Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD).

“We approached Kumaraswamy at his residence in Bengaluru after nothing worked out to arrange for the expenses of my daughter’s surgery. He (Kumaraswamy) immediately responded and arranged for the treatment at a private hospital in Bengaluru. Now, my child is 100 percent recovered and leading a normal life,” said Monica’s mother.
