Anekal (Bengaluru Urban): A lorry-scooter collision at Ananthnagar of Hebbagodi in Anekal took a tragic turn with a little losing his life. However, what was shocking was that an angry mob immediately nabbed the lorry driver and hacked him to death, holding him responsible for killing the child.
Mohommed Irfan (6) died on the spot after being crushed by the lorry and as a result of this, Rajesh Shyam (34), the driver of the lorry had to pay a price. The driver who originally hails from Uttar Pradesh was brutally hacked to death by the angry locals.
Irfan’s family originally hailed from Hubballi and they were all residing at an apartment in Gottigere, here. Irfan was going to visit his aunt at Kammasandra with his mother on a scooter when the mishap took place. As a result, the boy died on the spot. When the mishap occurred, the mother of the child raised alarm.
The locals, who gathered at the spot realised that the child was no more and they instantly nabbed the driver and brutally assaulted him. When the police rushed to the spot, the driver was found in a pool of blood. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
