Bengaluru: Bahujan Samaj Party, ally to Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition has expelled its lone MLA N Mahesh from the party here on Tuesday, July 23, for not participating in the floor test and supporting the state coalition.

On July 21, Mahesh had said that he would not partake in the floor test process until and unless his party high command directed him. But, yesterday, BSP chief Mayawati had extended her support to the state coalition and said that it would participate in the confidence motion.

Mahesh had not attended the floor test today and as soon as the state coalition failed to prove the majority and got dissolved, Mayawati took on Twitter to announce the expulsion of its lone MLA.

She has tweeted stating that even though the party had decided to support the Congress-JDS coalition in the floor test, Mahesh had not participated and that the party had taken this very seriously. She said that as a result of not attending the floor test, Mahesh was expelled from the party.
