Lokayukta attacker undergoes narco test

Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch probing the Lokayukta stabbing case conducted a narco-analysis test on the accused Tejraj Sharma on Wednesday.

A team of CCB sleuths escorted Tejraj to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Ahmedabad where he underwent the tests. The tests were conducted after the accused’s consent and permission from the court.

It is gathered that Tejraj said that he had stabbed the Lokayukta since he had refused to act on a complaint lodged by him against corrupt officials. He said that he had acted on the behest of Lord Krishna, according to a source. Meanwhile, another report has hinted at the emergence of other angles after the test.

Reportedly, the narco tests were undertaken after Justice P Vishwanatha Shetty expressed his displeasure over the conduct of the investigations since the chargesheet had been filed, based on the accused’s statement. The Lokayukta wanted to know if the accused had been instigated by any other person to carry out this act.

It may be recalled that on March 7 Tejraj had stabbed Justice Shetty at his office. He was captured soon after the incident.
