Bengaluru: Medical education minister Dr. K Sudhakar has informed that the lockdown will continue beyond April 14 in red zones like Mangaluru, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Bidar, Gauribidanur, Nanjanagud etc.
Speaking to the reporters in the city, he stated that, the state government is considering continuing the lockdown in the red zones to contain the spread of this disease.
“The Nanjanagud condition is not in our hands. We are investigating the case,” he explained.
It can be recalled that in Nanjanagud scores of people were infected with COVID-19 from an unknown source in a local pharma facility.
This forced the district administration to keep over 2,000 persons in home isolation.
He also informed that a final decision on the relaxing the lockdown will be taken after consulting with the central government.
