According to the authorities, for last couple of days, efforts were done to discipline the vendors and the customers on the social distancing. However, with efforts going futile, the BBMP decided to shut the market completely.
Arrangements have been made in other places like national college grounds in Basavanagudi and every ward to to sell groceries and the vegetables.
