Lockdown impact: KR Market shutdown in total

Bengaluru: As the vendors and customers continue to visit the KR Market to buy various groceries, vegetables and flowers amid lockdown order, the BBMP shut the entire market.

Police personnel have been deputed around the market building to ensure that no one enters the premises.

According to the authorities, for the first time in the history of this market, which is the first full-fledged market of the city, it has been shut down.

According to the authorities, for last couple of days, efforts were done to discipline the vendors and the customers on the social distancing. However, with efforts going futile, the BBMP decided to shut the market completely.

Arrangements have been made in other places like national college grounds in Basavanagudi and every ward to to sell groceries and the vegetables.
