Like father, like son: Samit scores second double-century in two months

Bengaluru: Samit Dravid, son of Indian cricket star Rahul Dravid, on Saturday, slammed a double-century in an under-14 cricket tournament.

The 14-year-old was representing his school Mallya Aditi International in the BTR Shield Under-14 Group I, Division II Tournament.

According to a report by NDTV, Samit scored 33 boundaries in just 146 balls. This is the second time in two months that he has scored a double-century.

In the 50-over match, Samit’s master slams helped his team bag a major win with a total of 377 runs for three over their opponent, Sri Kumaran Children’s Academ, who were bowled out for 110.

During the match, Samit also bagged two wickets, making him the star.

Samit’s first double-century was in December of 2019, where he scored 201 runs while playing for Vice-President’s XI against Dharwad Zone in an Under-14 inter-zonal tournament. He scored 22 boundaries with 256 balls. He also bagged three wickets.
