Bengaluru: Sri Gurugunda Brahmeshwara Mutt’s Nanjavadutha Swamiji has called the Vokkaliga community to stand with Congress leader D K Shivakumar, who was recently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
Addressing the protesting members of the Vokkaliga community, who were gathered here on Wednesday, September 11, Nanjavadutha Swamiji said, “We must see to it that DKShi doesn’t become another V G Siddhartha. I, therefore, urge the people of the Vokkaliga community to support him and at this point in time as it is very important. DKShi should not feel that he is fighting alone and he should not face the same situation as Café Coffee Day founder Late V G Siddhartha.”
“We are not asking for his immediate release, but we have complete hopes in the judiciary that things will go in his favour,” he stated.
He added that even if the last member of the community is affected by any situation, the rest of the community will stand by them.
