Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a leopard mauled a three-year-old baby to death in Somalapura village in Kampli taluk of the Ballari taluk.
According to the Kampli police, Raghavendra (3), the victim is the grandson of folk singer Eramma, a state rajyotsava award winner. “He was playing infront of his home on Tuesday evening when a leopard barged and dragged him for kilometers. The leopard left his body after eating away the flesh,” said police.
“We have launched an operation to trap the leopard. As the area is a hilly region, leopards visiting the residential colonies are common in search of food,” said forest officials.
