Bengaluru: State leaders including former CM Siddaramaiah, BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa, CM HD Kumaraswamy expressed their shock over the sudden demise of union minister Ananth Kumar.
Former CM Siddaramaiah who paid a visit to Ananth Kumar residence and offered floral tributes said he is shocked. “Even though we were in different political parties when it came to the state related issues, we were together. He was a hard-working man,” he said.
Ex CM BS Yeddyurappa recalled his association with Ananth Kumar on strengthening the party in the state. “A great personal loss to me,” he said.
CM HDK stated that he lost a family friend. “We were family friends. I don’t have any words to express the shock,” he said.
Senior leaders including DK Shivakumar, KJ George, governor Vajubhai Vala, also paid their last respect to the departed soul. Power star Punith Rajkumar, actors Jaggesh, Srinath also visited the Ananth Kumar’s residence and offered floral tribute.
National leaders including AICC president Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Maharastra CM Devendra Phadnavis expressed their shock over the death of Ananth Kumar.
