Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy here on Friday April 23 alleged that the state government has failed to guarantee proper arrangements for conducting the last rites of Covid victims.

Stating that this was “heights of inhuman behaviour” on the part of the government, he urged the state to ensure dignity to people succumbing to the pandemic. He noted that arrangements can be done for the same as a priority at the forest lands, which is in abundance in Bengaluru outskirts.

Further, he urged the government to take steps to conduct the last rites of at least 25 bodies each in these eight segments of deemed forest areas surrounding Bengaluru.
