K’taka’s COVID tally crosses 2K mark with 97 new cases

Bengaluru: Karnataka registered 97 new cases of COVID-19, on Sunday, taking the state’s tally to 2056.

No fatalities were reported today.

Chikkaballapura has highest number of new positive cases with 26 and all the cases were that of returnees from Maharashtra.

Coastal district of Udupi reported 18 new cases and most of the new cases are of the returnees from Maharashtra. Two policemen from the district posted in containment zone have been tested positive.

Remaining districts that reported positive cases are Mandya (15), Hasan (14), Kalaburgi (6), Yadgiri (6), Davangere (4), Tumakuru (2), Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Vijayapura, Dharwad and Kodagu had one case each.
