K’taka witnesses 453 new cases, five new COVID fatalities

Bengaluru: Karnataka witnessed 453 new cases and five new COVID fatalities on Sunday. With this, the state’s COVID tally has reached 9,150 and total fatalities has hit 137.

The deceased are a 53-year-old woman, 62-year-old man and a 53-year old man from Bengaluru Urban, a 70-year-old man and a 46-year-old man from Bidar.

The district-wise break up is as follows: Bengaluru Urban (196), Bellary (40), Kalaburgi and Vijayapura (39 each), Mysuru and Gadag (18 each), Dharwad (15), Bagalkote (14), Bidar (13), Davangere, Uttara Kannada, Kolar and Dakshina Kannada (8 each), Mandya and Hasan (5 each), Tumakuru (4), Yadagir, Chikkaballapur and Haveri (3 each), Raichur, Shivamogga and Ramanagar (2 each), Chikkamagaluru (1).
