K’taka registers 1,925 new COVID positive cases; B’luru Urban alone gets 1,235 cases

Bengaluru: The state registered 1925 new COVID positive cases on a single day on Sunday, July 5. With this, the total positive cases in the state has reached 23,474 with 13,251 active cases.

A total of 37 persons died due to the infection on Sunday, taking COVID fatalites to 372. The deaths have occured in Bengaluru Urban (16), Davangere (2), Chikkaballapur (1), Hassan (1), Kalaburgi (2), Mysuru (1), Tumakuru (1), Belagavi (2), Dhrwad (1), Bidar (9) and Ballari (1).

The district-wise break up of cases is as follows: Bengaluru Urban (1235), Dakshina Kannada (147), Ballari (90), Vijayapura (51), Kalaburgi (49), Udupi and Dharwad (45 each), Bidar (29), Mysuru (25), Koppala (22), Uttara Kannada (21), Chamarajanagar (19), Haveri (15), Hassan (14), Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Kolara (13 each), Belagavi and Davangere (11 each), Raichur and Mandya (10 each), Chikkamagaluru (9), Shivamogga (8), Gadag (7),, Ramanagara (6), Bagalkote (4) and Chitradurga (3).
