K’taka inches closer to 1000 mark: 22 new COVID cases, two fatalities

Bengaluru: The state registered 22 new cases and two deaths on Thursday morning.

With this the total COVID-19 tally had shot up to 981 and the fatalities have reached 35.

The two deaths have been reported from Dakshina Kannada district and Andhra Pradesh.

The 80-year-old lady from Dakshina Kannada, P-507 was admitted to hospital with complaints of stroke on April 26. She died of Septic shock on Thursday.

Meanwhile, a 60-year-old man from Ananthapura, Andhra Pradesh was admitted to Bengaluru Urban Hospital with severe pneumonia. He too died on Thursday.

As far as positive cases are concerned, the cases are as follows: Davangere (1), Mandya (4), Bengaluru Urban (5), Gadag (4), Belagavi (1), Davangere (2), Bagalkote (1), Bidar (4)
