Bengaluru: Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP KC Ramamurthy has resigned from his post in the Upper House of the Parliament on Wednesday, October 16.
Ramamurthy’s abrupt resignation comes as a big shocker for the Congress party as his tenure as MP was up till 2022.
Addressing media persons, Ramamurthy said, “I was like stagnant water in politics as Congress has no future. With this and the interest of the country in mind, I have resigned.”
According to sources, Ramamurthy (owner of CMR Group of Institutions) is likely to join the BJP and seek re-election to the Rajya Sabha again.
