Bengaluru: In the midst of speculation about the extension of the lockdown in the state, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa hinted on Wednesday that strict measures may be continued, claiming that the coronavirus has not been totally under control and that cases are still high in rural regions.

He however hints that some industries would be given a relaxation, announcing that export-oriented businesses will be allowed to function starting Thursday.

“I will have a discussion with everyone to make a decision on measures that need to be taken regarding lockdown. Most importantly I have decided to give permission to those involved in exports.

So export-oriented business will be allowed from Thursday,” Yediyurappa said.
