Bengaluru: With the idea of expanding the bus services to the nook and corner of the state, the KSRTC has decided to procure 3,500 more buses. These buses will be designed in line with the private buses to attract passengers.
Speaking to the reporters, transport minister DC Thammanna informed that these buses will have unique designs.
He also stated that the state government is considering the proposal of launching a daily pass scheme to the Below Poverty Line families and the daily wage labourers. “A final decision in this regard will be taken after a discussion with CM HD Kumaraswamy,” he said.
Thammanna also informed that the KSRTC is in talks with the state government on shifting the government offices in the rental building to the KSRTC bus terminus at the taluk headquarters. “It will help the people from searching for the government offices,” he said.
He also informed that 75 staff from the BBMP were suspended under the various charges of corruption. “A number of new measures taken up to bring down the corruption in all the road corporations,” he said.
