Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced that it will be adding 1,600 more buses during the Diwali festival weekend for the benefit of commuters.
This year, Diwali is scheduled to be celebrated from October 26 to October 28. KSRTC has reportedly taken this decision to cater to those individuals who work in Bengaluru and are going home for the festival.
The buses departing from Kempegowda Bus Stand will travel to Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Horanadu, Kundapur, Sringeri, Dharwad, Davangere, Hubbali, Vijayapura, Belagavi, Sirsi, Gokarna, Karwar, Raichur, Koppal, Tirupati, Kalaburgi, Ballari, Yadgir, and Bidar.
Buses departing from Mysuru Satellite Bus Stand will move towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Virajpet, Piriyapatna, Madikeri, and Kushalnagar.
Similarly, buses from Shantinagar Bus Stand will be heading towards Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Madurai, Tiuchi, Kumbakonam, Coimbatore, and Chennai.
Meanwhile, it is also said that certain bus facilities have been arranged due to the high demand.
