Bengaluru: KR Pete JDS MLA Narayana Gowda, an industrialist from Mumbai who is reportedly nurturing an enmity with PWD minister HD Revanna is not attending the budget presentation by the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy today. Instead, he got admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai and has claimed that he is undergoing treatment.
Gowda has sent a video of him being treated at the hospital and has written a letter to Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar citing his health condition as the reason behind his absence.
If sources in the JDS are to be believed, Gowda, a two-time MLA is not in good terms with CM HDK and his brother PWD minister HD Revanna. “Gowda is upset with Revanna over his interference in the constituency related matters including transfer of senior officials. So he is following a pressure tactic. He is getting ready to resign if the CM HDK does not listen to his grievances. He is aware of the fact that he can’t win on a BJP ticket in the constituency,” said a JDS leader.
Meanwhile, JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda, who is in New Delhi has directed minor irrigation minister CS Puttaraju to hold a discussion with Narayana Gowda. “Puttaraju has been directed to get his feedback and fulfil all his demands,” said a JDS MLA from Mandya.
