Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has issued a warning to 35 incumbent MLAs who are not popular in their constituencies. The Committee has, in stern words told them to either mend their ways or get ready to make way for new faces.

According to the sources, KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar had conducted a constituency-wise survey recently through a New Delhi based firm and this firm has informed that around 35 MLAs are facing public wrath against them in their respective constituencies over non-implementation of government schemes. All these MLAs were personally informed about the survey findings and have been told to mend their ways.

“If they do not change their style of functioning, the party has decided to give ticket to new faces. Second survey will be conducted in these constituencies again after January 15. If there is no change in the mood of local voters, such MLAs will be replaced without any other considerations,” said a leader who wished to be anonymous.

AICC secretary Satish Jarakiholi confirmed that party is collecting the information on the MLAs who may get defeated but declined to give more details.
